musings at the intersection of public health research and holistic wellness.

ABOUT ME:

Hello, my name is Mariah!

I am a maternal health researcher, volunteer doula and registered vinyasa and prenatal yoga teacher with a passion for supporting women's health throughout the entire life course.

My interests sit at the intersection of public health research and holistic wellbeing, blending rigorous mixed-method research with a curious exploration of practices that allows us to take our wellbeing into our own hands.

While I've held many roles throughout my career- from researching eugenic sterilizations in the U.S. to conducting research to help open a community health center, to teaching popup prenatal yoga classes- one common thread throught these all is a commitment to ensuring we are able to be our healthiest selves.

Feel free to explore this page- where I talk about my work and current interests, as well as share findings that can help you be your best self!

When you get these jobs you have been so brilliantly trained for, just remember that your real job is that if you are free, you need to free somebody else. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else.
